If Carlsberg made air gun scopes...

...this would be it. As an all-rounder, this has got to be one of the best air rifle scopes available today. At air rifle ranges, this scope does everything that you will need of it, without making you spend extra for specs that you simply don't need. I have had the 3x9-50 AO for about 8 months now and wouldn't swap it for anything else. I bought one to sit on top of a Wolverine. Originally, I had a Sidewinder, but this made for an extremely heavy package, so in order to save a bit of weight, I swapped the scope. The step down in the quality of the glass is noticeable, but only at dawn and dusk and the drop has not made me compromise my shooting at all. It still performs excellently in low light conditions. I've used it extensively with my night vision kit and there have been no problems there. The clarity is as good as the Nite-Site Viper will allow and I really can't tell the difference between it and the Sidewinder when using night vision.

The Extreme View (EV) gives an exaggerated field of view, giving you wider vision than most scopes of this spec, which is useful for target acquisition, as well as keeping your eye to the scope and limit the need to constantly change magnification.

I'm also a big fan of the blue IR. Green's always been a problem for me: when you're shooting at a green background, what's the use in having a green IR?? Blue is a much more sensible choice and it complements the reticle choices as well; the 1/2 Mil-dot shows up fine in anything, but the MAP 6A ret is pretty fine, but the softness of the blue light highlights the lines well without overpowering them.

This used to be the best scope for under £150 but sadly prices have been creeping up! Even so, for the money they're still a serious contender if you're looking for a dedicated air rifle scope. It comes with lens covers, although the plastic on the cap sleeves is prone to splitting. They're getting frustratingly hard to come by and the new range (post 2014) doesn't give the option of a 3-9x50 (madness, I tell you!) so hunt down the older model, you won't be disappointed!

Pros
Great FOV
side IR of red and blue
1/2 mil dot reticle
Good choice of specs, both AO and non AO
supplied with lens caps
Cons
some models, including the best (3-9x50 AO) can be hard to get hold of.
Prices seem to be creeping up.
