Add in all the great features like the twist-adjust eye relief, the built-in click stop at 10X zoom, the rubber eye piece extender and the integrated objective lens cover and the Viper Connect just has to be a total winner for all shooters. See the Airgun World review here.

viper connect 3-12x32

Firstly, it was exceptionally well packaged, arriving in a cardboard box with eggshell foam inserts to hold it still and protect it in transit.on opening the box to inspect my new purchase ,one look at the Viper Connect and you know this is no normal scope. Short and businesslike at 290mm (11.4”) long, its appearance is totally different to any other scope. Inside the box you get the scope,Rubber eyepiece extender (pigs ear) and a manual 2 batterys, unfortunately the connect dose NOT come with mounts like most other scopes in the MTC range .The connect is packed with features such as the built in flip up cover that pings open effortlessly and stays in place with no play ,Integrated illuminated reticle unit that can be set to you favorite power level and clicked on and off by a smart little switch ,twist adjust eye relief (very handy),Side adjustable PA.

Now mounting the connect ,well when I received my connect there was no connecta mount on the market,so I used a set of high blk mounts which worked fantastically with the connect ,Mounting the Connect is always going to require some forward planning. The double saddle leaves no room for a mount either side, but there is plenty of space to put two mounts forward of the front saddle. I did this on the S410 TDR( plenty of room for the mag) and the S400 where there was plenty of space rear of the pellet loading tray. I’m sure the scope can be made to fit any modern PCP the connect sits feather back than most scopes I like this but I understand it's not for everyone.

Once mounted it was time for a look through it alongside the Mamba 3-12x44 on my on my S400 All I can say is the Connect is incredible to look through, the field of view is at least double the equivalent view through the Mamba on any given magnification. Not only that, but it is an extremely bright and crisp view right to the edge of the sight picture ,super glass for the price. Now the rectical I have the SCB 2 ret on my connect as I prefer it to the AMD Ret which I find to clutted .the SCB 2 ret has helped my hold over/ under no ends. The reticle offers an incredible amount of aim points with a floating cross for clear and accurate target acquisition. In the field this scope is awesome probably the best scope I've ever owned ,(for the price there is no comparison in my humble opinion). Also I've used this scope in HFT my average score has improved now I'm not saying this is all due to the scope maybe I've just improved with time and practice but the massive field of view has definitely helped.

All in all this is the perfect scope fot hunting during day light or lamping and not to bad for a bit of hft either.I would definitely recommend the connect to anyone although I'd recommend any of the MTC range not only because they are all very good scope for the money but also because Gary and Sammie (the owners) are second to none when it comes to customers service.

Edit: if you own a night vision set up such as the nv ns50 and you want to use it with the connect you can't as the this is from MTC'S site The MTC Connect riflescope is designed to be used very close to the shooter's eye, and as such is not suitable for recoiling rifles. It is fitted with a special adjustable spacer that optimises the distance between the scope and the shooter's eye. Some users have been attaching nightvision units to this spacer, that is not designed as a load-bearing component. The Connect is not designed for use with accessories that are attached to the eyepiece area, and we cannot take responsibility for damage caused by the fitment of such accessories.

Also if you own the Air Arms TDR the connect will not allow you to use the back pack as the scope sits so far back it stick out of the case not allowing you to zip the case up .
