Value rifle

I have had the AT44 10 for a few months now. I shot a few spring air guns over the years but had no experience of pcp. So I was initially looking at a couple of used rifles to try the concept. I came across this rifle on the internet and was stunned at the price. I thought that it must be inferior. However I read the reviews that were mostly good. So I bought one and after a teething issue with the fill probe ( replaced by the importer quickly) I found that I was getting really great results. It is also very powerful so no complaints. It does not have the quality feel of air arms or bsa but as a result I was am afraid to get it dirty! if you can get a 1 inch group every time at 20 - 30 yards what more do you want?

I have heard it is pellet fussy but had no problems using decent diabolos

It is heavy so I invested a couple of quid in a sling and got a front grip . I would also consider the tactical version too.

Pros
There is lots to like about this rifle. I bought it with a silencer and scope new for less than the price of a second hand Webley raider.

The adjustable cheek rest is a great feature as is the picatiny rail on the front. It also came with swivels for a sling

Accuracy is good and the black tactical stock stands up to field use well.

Also lots of shots
Cons
Compared to high end pcp rifles it is heavy. Also had a tendency to trow a few wild shots when pumped up to the max..

Pumping it to around 180- 190 seems to fix this however ( on my rifle at least)

I did have a problem with a faulty fill probe from new. However Edgar bros changed this for me and my local gun dealer recommended a new washer which fixed the issue.

Looks cheap, feels cheap. is cheap. but works.

If you just want a pcp and don't really care about looks or the feel of a gun, then this is a good choice. It is an uncomplicated inexpensive gun that will do a perfectly satisfactory job. You could spend more and not get something more accurate.

This gun has it all: reasonable shot count, pressure gauge threaded barrel, side action. There is nothing you would really need - or perhaps even want - that is missing from this gun.

However, it just doesn't have the feel of a precision piece of kit. the stock is hard wearing, but is not that nice to hold and the trigger, whilst two stage, does leave a bit to be desired. I really don't like an automatic safety catch. it's a nice tool for people learning the trade, but when I cock the gun I want to be able keep my hands and more importantly fingers in position to take the shot.

For the money it's a good piece of kit. Even second hand, you'd struggle to match it. But i'd still spend a little more and get something a bit more refined.

Pros
cheap
decent barrel
2 magazines as standard.
accurate enough to hunt with
Cons
It feels really cheap!
Not the greatest trigger.
Auto safety is not my cup of tea.
